Health Promotion Council of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HPC)
“Nutrition for Life”

HPC is a non-profit public health agency conducting unique service-delivery, community-based programs advocating positive health behaviors. Its Nutrition for Life program targets FSP eligible audiences with limited access to health education, using an innovative approach to working with minority groups to advance the field of health promotion. HPC's FSNE programming (in English and Spanish) targets low-income families receiving care at city health centers, persons living in shelters and transitional living sites, mentally ill populations in community living arrangements, and seniors. Special features of HPC's programming include delivering FSNE in a culturally sensitive manner and using low-literacy educational methods in English and Spanish.
